Test Space: VHS

Went to the Test Space film festival last night.

Set a precedent for any film I watch from now on. I want to watch all my films this way, normal telly just doesn't compare.

Also worth a note was something I noticed about the main feature: The Terminator.

As the film runs what we see is the human aspect of the cyborg gradually worn away until only a robotic chassis is left and then even that is destroyed. At the same time we see an epic metaphor for human evolution where the characters fight for their lives against the might of computerized meta demon. So the humans become more human and the robot becomes less human all in the same film.

It is worth noting that in the films of Kubrick the major theme was: what forces make humans evolve? For what reason did we evolve to our current state?

In the Terminator the characters are forced to evolve: Quote 'I didn't want to be this super leader from the future' but Sarah Conner must go beyond being a humble scooter driving waitress to being the saviour of all people kind. She must survive because if she doesn't we wouldn't have a chance, John Connor wouldn't be born and no rebellion could occur to smash those metal motherfuckers into trash.
